About DailyU

As the pace of life gets faster, it gets harder to make time for what matters most — our own wellbeing. DailyU is a small set of tools for that: an affirmation a day, drawn as well as written; music to sleep, focus and settle to; and a quiet place to put down what you are carrying.

Mission

Wellbeing at your fingertips. We want to heal, inspire and empower a million people to find their best selves — and to give them tools that make a healthy daily routine easy to keep.

Vision

Everyone has the potential to do great things and become the best version of themselves. Our job is to encourage and equip people to get there.

The person behind it

DailyU is made by Bhavya Doshi, the illustrator behind The Doodle Desk. After losing both her parents in 2018 she left corporate work and drew her way through a long depression, one small hopeful character a day. People started saving the drawings as stories and profile pictures; the affirmations grew out of that, and the app after. Her books, The Little Book of Good Things and the Guidance from the Universe card deck, are published by Hay House. EdexLive and Social Samosa named her among 2020's 40 under 40.

The drawings

Every affirmation has its own character, drawn by hand at The Doodle Desk. They started as posts on @thedoodledesk; people began saving them as stories and profile pictures, and the app grew from there.

In the press

Seven languages

Each affirmation is written in English, Hindi, Bengali, Spanish, Marathi, Telugu and Urdu — not translated after the fact, but carried in every script the audience reads.

More from the same desk

The drawings can be licensed for your own work, one a day arrives by email through the TDD Tribe, and there is @thedoodledesk, where all of this started.
