Self-Help

in the upcoming months, i’ll release all my fears and embrace all my strengths.

Fear doesn't leave in an afternoon, whatever the weekend courses promise. A season is the honest timescale.

What happens over one is narrower and better: a specific fear gets handled so many times it turns into a chore instead of an event. Phone calls to strangers. Driving on the motorway. Saying the unpopular thing in a meeting.

Nothing gets untied, exactly. The fear wears down through use, the way a path appears across long grass after enough walking. Your strengths get found by the same method, out at the far end of the things you were avoiding.
